I love that my address has LAUGH at the heart of it.
The neighborhood. I took these before leaf collection. Our pile is the biggest on the street, it was waist high to us.
Only halfth of the signs are spelled this way.
I have a habit of using "anyway" as a transition word, and I cannot pass this sign without drawing it out in my "I habba code" voice. "EDDDDYYYYWAAAYYYY…….."
This is the park complex that is two streets over from my house. There is a pool, playground, volleyball pit, basketball court, baseball stadium, and ice rink. Much of it was funded by S. King, Fiction Writer.
Here is the playground, and the pool waterslides in the background. The playground used to be a huge wooden creative playground, but it became too dangerous for the city to keep it. They tore it out and replaced it with this generic plastic setup. I miss the old one, splinters and all.
The pool is new this year, and is fabulous. They fenced in a large area of the grassy part of the park, and you can lay out a blanket and enjoy the pool, too. It rocks, and only costs a dollar a day to get in!
Back up in there is the home of S. King, Fiction Writer. The gravel path wraps around the back of the baseball stadium, and it is creepy and overgrown back there. I watch enough CSI to know that it’d be a great place to dump a body, and as such, I am always spooked when walking through there.
This is the 4/5 school for the neighborhood. It’s been around for a while, as the gendered entrances indicate.
This is the 4/5 playground, and you can see the K-3 in the background.
I lost the first version of this entry due to human error, arggghh, and at almost midnight, I don’t CARE that it’s not all aligned well and stuff. I’ve had these shots for almost 2 months, and now that I’ve done it, it’s almost not worth it. Well, maybe it is, if only for ‘fifthteenth street.”
Sorry!
“Fifthteenth”– my god, my head would explode if I had to pass that sign every day. (DOES NOT COMPUTE! ERROR! ERROR!)
I totally read the cross street of “Eddyway” as “Cannibal.” Also, now I can’t stop saying “EDDYWAY!!!” in my head.
