So, I didn’t test.  I feel pretty PMSy, and just didn’t want to see one line or whatever.  Haven’t started my period, but certainly I will any minute, so yeah. Whatever. Even Dave is anxious for me to test, now.

Speaking of, just spent more money (you’d think it grew on trees in my life, huh?) on Dave’s birthday present.  He’s wanted a new guitar for as long as I’ve known him, and there was one in the newest Musician’s Friend that he LOVED. I ordered it, and it’s due in on the 15th (to the company) and then it will ship to me. I hope so, anyway. It wasn’t that expensive, but it’s a grown up guitar.  The ones he has are more Rawk guitars — the oldest, his first, was from a Sears catalog.  He still has it, like an old pair of shoes, you know? He LOVED that guitar when he got it.  He has a really good bass (every so often they’ll show up on ebay in poor condition and worth a mint) and a second 6 string that has his band stickers from high school on. Oh yeah, my husband was a guitarist in Bad Omen. What of it? (He has a poster in his fort, though, from when he ‘opened’ for Sam Black Church, which is kind of cool.) ANyway.  The guitars he’s fancied lately are not black and aggressively shaped, but wooden and all — SG. I guess. That’s the common theme for me, a total guitar idiot — they are all SG something or others.  When he pointed out the most recent one last week in the catalog (and then apparently destroyed the catalog with fire or something, because I have gone through the recycling, the trash, his various stashes of magazines, and CANNOT FIND IT) I made a mental note of it, and then decided, finally, to order it.  WOnder of wonders, though, I couldn’t order through their website, because it refused to log DAVE out!  I needed to use my debit card, and the mobius strip of "Sign out/Welcome back, dave" led me to just call the 800 number. So, it’s ordered, maybe will be here by his birthday, maybe not, but I DO hope it shows up eventually.

And yes, once the furniture is in place, I will take pics of the updated room. Can’t. Freakin. Wait.

  1. I am sorry this is sucking for you at the moment.
On another note, I LOVE freaking IKEA and I am so jealous if one is going to open near you. I also have to beg and beg to get a catalog, or drive 6 hours to the nearest store, and then discover they only have spanish catalogs left!
Why cant IKEA spread their greatness to Missouri? 🙂
