First things first. I check the local hospital’s Online Nursery occasionally, looking at names and trends, and once in a while, there’s one that really, really stands out. Read this kid’s name, out loud. What the FUCK were his parents thinking?! Obviously, not much, I mean, they’d used Damian up already.
Anyway.
We headed towards the coast today, thinking the overcastness would make it a quiet day, but by Ellsworth we decided to NOT go on to Bar Harbor, instead we stopped and shopped instead. I totally scored.

And a handful of stuff from Marden’s and Reny’s for school, etc. Yay!
When we got home, we walked to the drugstore to drop off my rx for eczema cream, and Dave brought up “We should take a trip soon. Somewhere good.” We talked about New Orleans, since neither of us has been, and then tried to plan for his last week of vacation in 2004. We’re thinking that he might go with me to a conference I have at Sugarloaf, where my parents condo is, and we would stay in the condo during and after my conference. It’s not too busy mid-october, at ALL, but the colors are nice, it’s quiet, and there’s cable. Heh.
Mostly, it would be a “get-away-from-it-all” for cheap type weekend, and we could hike around and enjoy the best days of autumn in the mountains. Sounds great to me.
Oh my God, Ellsworth! Not so very far from….South Addison!
